HistEqualImg
DESCRIPTION
Computes a histogram equalization of an image. The data values of the
image are rescaled so that the cumulative histogram of the output
image is approximately linear. Each source channel is normalized
independently. This operation can be used to enhance the contrast of
an image. Histogram equalization is discussed in:
Digital Image Processing, Gonzales, R.C., Wintz, P.,
Addison Wesley, Second Edition, 1987, pp 146--152.
