You are cordially invited to the MicroEchem 2016 / Energy Storage Discussions 2016, that will be held in Hotel Misión La Muralla, Amealco de Bonfil, Queretaro, Mexico from November 6th to 9th, 2016.

Since 2013, there has been an inherent tradition in Microechem (Summer School in Molecular Electrochemistry) for the dissemination of topics related to Molecular electrochemistry, with particular emphasis on the techniques used for the molecular understanding of electrochemical processes. In 2016, the event remains similar in essence and organization, but it is intended to cover recent advances in energy storage systems. For previous editions of the School see: https://sites.google.com/site/microechem2015/

"Energy Storage Discussions" is intended to be a bi-annual forum of analysis of different aspects of energy storage. In the era of renewable energies and mobile electronics, the need of better energy storage devices is every time more evident. The areas of materials science, electrochemistry, power electronics and control systems, and combined areas like nanotechnology are all merged when discussing about energy storage. The 2014 edition of the conferece has been very succesful: http://www.ifuap.buap.mx/energysd2014/

MicroEchem 2016 / Energy Storage Discussions 2016 is a joint meeting between Microechem and Energy Storage Discussions . The meeting will include Tutorial Lectures from renowned speakers, Invited Lectures and ad-hoc Contributions either oral or in poster format considering the following topics of interest, but not limited to:

  • - Battery concepts and materials, and their characterization.
    1.      * Li-ion, Li-air, Li-sulfur, Ni-Cd, Lead-acid, Zn-air, alkaline, and other emerging technologies.
  • - Capacitor concepts and materials, and their characterization.
  • - Other energy storage concepts (thermal, gas, etc.).
  • - Modelling of energy storage systems.
    1.      * Quantum mechanical modelling, multiscale modelling, modelling of molecular dynamics, etc.
  • - Energy storage systems for automotive, mobile and stationary applications.
    1.      * Control system, cooling system, mechanical system, lifetime and security tests, and mass production.
  • - Recycling.
Please consider that the number of participants is limited to 60; therefore, a "first come-first served" basis is applied. For information on registration and payment procedures, send an email to energysd@ifuap.buap.mx / microechem2016@gmail.com.
