Welcome

We invite you to participate in Dynamics Days LAC (Latin America and the Caribbean) 2016, the fourth such meeting following those organized in Brazil (2010), Colombia (2012) and Chile (2014).

The conference will be held near the Zócalo (main square) of the city of Puebla, México, in the Carolino Buiding of Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla. The Conference will start on Monday, October 24 and will end on Tuesday November 1.
No sessions will be held on the weekend.

Contributions are invited on computational, experimental, and theoretical research in all areas related to applied dynamical systems, including (but not limited to) non--equilibrium statistical physics, complex networks, computational methods, fluid dynamics, granular materials, neural dynamics, nonlinear waves, pattern formation, quantum chaos, stochastic processes, and systems biology.

The conference will consist of invited talks, symposia, minisymposia, contributed presentations and poster sessions. Symposia and minisymposia may cover a broad range of topics, with the main focus being on topics of current interest. All talks will have the same length, namely 30 minutes, including 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

Since its beginning, a key goal of Dynamics Days in Latin America and the Caribbean has been to promote cross-fertilization of ideas from different application areas. The meeting is deliberately structured to encourage active participation from young scientists through both invited and contributed oral presentations and a poster session, which will be held on Thursday 27 afternoon.

The Organizers

We look forward to welcoming you in México!

Día de Muertos

El Día de Muertos (the Day of the Dead), November 2, can be traced back to Pre-Columbian times. Actually, the celebrations take place over three days, namely October 31-November 2. Its coincidence with our conference may provide a unique opportunity to combine an exciting scientific meeting with one of Mexico's greatest celebratory events.
